SELLER’S STORY:
This is the perfect car. No maintenance, no worries. Just unplug and go! This is by far ther most reliable car I've ever owned. I don't have to deal with oil changes and most regular maintenance which means I have more time for keeping it looking pristine and keeping good tires and brakes on it. Cost of charging is less than one tank of gas a month! It accelerates like it's a sports car and offers regenerative braking. I can hit a quick charger (yes it has the optional quick charger) when I'm going long distances (with my cruise control) and go from 0 to full charge while I'm having lunch. I love that there are free chargers around town so I can run errands and grab a free "boost" when I want. This is the easiest car to park in tight parking spaces, or on the road for parallel parking. At night it gets tucked into my garage and since it's so company there's a ton of space around it for storage. It has a tech forward touch screen display and CD player, and easy to use bluetooth. I mostly used the handy steering wheel controls, but it's nice to have options. It has OnStar and Navi if you want them although I never used them. This is such an awesome car that after my father-in-law drove mine, he bought his own! It's easy to tote around my 2 kids (in their carseats) with plenty of space to spare and the leather seats keep me from worrying as much as I would with cloth, although the interior still looks brand new.

We've assumed a fuel economy of 21 miles per gallon for a comparable gasoline powered premium sedan, for example, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz S550. We've also assumed the national average of $0.13 per kilowatt-hour for electricity, 10% charging on Tesla’s Supercharger network and $2.70 per gallon for premium gasoline over the next five years.
Florida has allowed owners of hybrid, electric and other low-emission vehicles to ride in high-occupancy-vehicle lanes with only one person in the car between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. And with the introduction of the I-95 express lanes, they don't have to pay tolls.
EVs benefit from not requiring oil changes or other maintenance costs for exhaust systems. Studies have shown that this represents a 35 percent decrease in cost over time. Some calculations peg this to about 3 or 4 cents per mile of maintenance cost in an EV versus closer to 6 cents in an internal combustion car.
